A wonderful Captain Pugwash book, written and illustrated by John Ryan. This story is called Pugwash and the Sea Monster and tells what happens when Pugwash, the rather bumbling Pirate Captain, trys to outwit Cut Throat Jake (his worst enemy) to capture the hoard of hidden treasure on Cactus Island.   There were 21 Captain Pugwash books but the character is best known for the mid s animated TV series.
